Wartortle collecting questions

Can I use this as a Wartortle master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 26 card listings and 42 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 30 card listings and 33 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Wartortle collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Wartortle, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Wartortle Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.18 to $325.00 USD, across 21 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.23 to $85.00 USD, across 21 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Wartortle card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Wartortle cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.18 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.23 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Wartortle cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 14 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 18 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 11 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 14 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Which Wartortle is the 151 illustration rare?

151’s illustration rare is 171/165, with Mitsuhiro Arita’s artwork. The regular card is 008/165, illustrated by kantaro.

Japanese 015/049 is a regular-art reprint in the Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex, rather than the 171/165 illustration rare.

Why does Japanese Southern Islands Wartortle have no collector number?

The Japanese Southern Islands Wartortle is an unnumbered release. Its English counterpart is 15/18; both use Naoyo Kimura’s artwork.

An absent number is not a reason to remove this genuine card from the checklist. Match the language, artwork and named release.

Where did Wartortle’s gold W stamp come from?

The Wizards-stamped 63/130 is a special Base Set 2 print released with the March 2000 issue of Top Deck Magazine. It is separate from ordinary Base Set 2 and original Base Set 42/102.

The checklist preserves its exact stamped version. The ranking groups it with the equivalent Base Set 2 card, while the original Base Set release keeps its own family.
