OG CARDS

Privacy and cookie settings

Saved on your device

Your lesson progress, answers and collecting goals are saved in this browser's storage. They stay on your device unless you choose to move them to an account later.

Your analytics and advertising choices are also saved here, so we don't ask again on every visit.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. If you create one, we store your email address and a securely scrambled password with our database provider, Supabase. We send emails to confirm your address, reset your password and share important account or service notices. If you opt in to email updates, we may also share new features, lessons and other OG Cards news. You can change your email-update preference in your Account at any time and unsubscribe from any optional update email.

Moving device progress into an account isn't available yet. When it is, it will only happen when you choose it.

Optional analytics

Our optional site analytics is off unless you choose Accept analytics, Analytics only or Accept all. Choosing Essential only turns off both optional analytics and advertising.

If you accept, we record page and lesson visits, answer correctness and attempts, active browsing time, navigation and eBay clicks, Discover impressions and reactions, wishlist actions, account-flow outcomes, device category, traffic source and performance/error categories. Each browser gets a random ID that is not linked to your name or email. Sessions expire after 30 minutes without activity.

We record card-search terms only after the results settle, and discard terms that look like email addresses, phone numbers or URLs. We do not record account form contents, passwords, confirmation codes, personal goals or notes, or the text of lesson answers.

Detailed visit records are deleted after 90 days once their summaries are saved. We retain daily totals and summaries of sessions and activity days using random browser IDs to measure longer-term trends and return visits. The analytics dashboard is owner-only; individual Discover preferences and wishlists stay private.

Feedback and problem reports

You need to sign in to send feedback. We save your report type, selected section, message, page address without query parameters, submission time and account identifier so we can review problems and suggestions. If you include an email address, we save it with your report.

Reports are private to the site owner and are separate from optional behavioural analytics. Please do not include passwords, verification codes or payment details. Deleting your account also deletes feedback submitted from that account.

Optional advertising

If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense may show ads on our homepage, guides listing and blog pages. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and page, browser and device information to personalise and measure ads. Ad availability also depends on your choices in any Google consent message.

If you accept advertising cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to measure visits from our ads and build audiences for Facebook and Instagram advertising. This is separate from our site analytics choice.

The pixel sends Meta page-view information from public browsing pages, including the page URL and browser/device information. Meta may use cookies and associate this activity with your Meta account. We do not send form contents, lesson answers or account details, and we do not run the pixel on sign-in, account, admin or lesson-player pages.

You can turn off advertising below to stop further Meta events and Google ad requests. If Google ads have loaded, the page reloads to remove them. This does not remove information already received by Google or Meta, or cookies already saved by your browser; you can manage those through your browser and Google or Meta account settings.

Essential counts

We keep simple daily counts needed to run the site, like how many accounts were created. These don't describe what anyone did on the site.

Changing your mind

You can change your analytics and advertising choices below at any time. Withdrawing stops sending straight away and throws away anything waiting to be sent.

You can delete your account, and everything saved in it, from your Account page.
