Blastoise collecting questions

Can I use this as a Blastoise master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 59 card listings and 76 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 54 card listings and 59 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Blastoise collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Blastoise, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Blastoise Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $1.82 to $975.00 USD, across 45 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.87 to $500.00 USD, across 33 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Blastoise card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Blastoise cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $1.82 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.87 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Blastoise cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 3 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 7 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 6 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 8 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

How do Blastoise ex 200/165, 202/165 and 030/142 differ?

English 151 special illustration rare 200/165 and Japanese 202/165 use Mitsuhiro Arita’s artwork. The ordinary and full-art 151 versions are different prints.

Stellar Crown 030/142 uses PLANETA Igarashi’s alternate artwork, first released in Japan as Special Deck Set ex 016/049. It is not a renumbering of the 151 special illustration.

Is every Blastoise 2/102 an original Base Set card?

No. Celebrations reuses the Base Set design and number, with anniversary markings. Trading Card Game Classic also reprints the original artwork in a separately numbered deck release.

Check the expansion, edition and card markings together. This collection keeps Base Set, Celebrations and Classic separate, with exact editions and finishes listed beneath their cards.

Where did Blastoise VMAX SWSH103 come from?

SWSH103 was supplied in the Blastoise VMAX Battle Box, released on 19 March 2021. The product included both a regular-size promotional card and an oversized copy.

This checklist includes the regular card and excludes the oversized one. The Japanese Blastoise VMAX was supplied in its Starter Set, a different product.
