Squirtle collecting questions

Can I use this as a Squirtle master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 39 card listings and 60 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 41 card listings and 42 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Squirtle collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Squirtle, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Squirtle Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.18 to $458.24 USD, across 33 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.19 to $157.81 USD, across 25 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Squirtle card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Squirtle cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.18 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.19 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Squirtle cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 15 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 19 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 10 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 13 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Are Squirtle 170/165 and Stellar Crown 148/142 the same illustration?

No. 151’s 170/165 uses Mitsuhiro Arita’s illustration. Stellar Crown 148/142 uses Saboteri’s different artwork, first released in Japan as Special Deck Set ex 052/049.

The regular 151 artwork is another print, by kantaro. Compare the set and number rather than treating every full-card Squirtle as the same release.

What is the difference between Pokémon Center and Costco 151 Squirtle?

The Pokémon Center version is a stamped gift tied to eligible 151 online orders in 2023. Costco’s Mini Tin 5-Pack supplied a later unstamped Cosmos Parallel Holofoil print around October 2024.

The campaign’s order eligibility and stock limits matter; the stamp does not identify a card pulled from a 151 booster pack.

Where did Squirtle promo 048 and Japanese 014/049 come from?

English promo 048 was supplied in the 151 Poster Collection, launched on 22 September 2023 with the three Kanto first-partner foil promos.

Japanese 014/049 is a fixed-deck card in the Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex. Its full-art 052/049 is a separate print in that product.
