Magnemite collecting questions

Can I use this as a Magnemite master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 48 card listings and 89 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 63 card listings and 73 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Magnemite collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Magnemite, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Magnemite Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.05 to $102.01 USD, across 46 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.11 to $35.40 USD, across 45 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Magnemite card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Magnemite cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.05 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.11 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Magnemite cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 40 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 43 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 38 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 42 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Why does Neo Discovery Magnemite have both 7/75 and 26/75?

Neo Discovery printed the same Metal-type Magnemite design in holo and non-holo slots. Number 7/75 is the holo-numbered card and 26/75 the non-holo-numbered card. Its Japanese Crossing the Ruins original was holo.

Which Magnemite card shows Lt. Surge in the artwork?

Cosmic Eclipse 242/236 and Japanese Dream League 055/049 use Fumie Kittaka’s full-art illustration with Lt. Surge. Regular Cosmic Eclipse 68/236 and Dream League 018/049 instead use Suwama Chiaki’s illustration.

How does Vending Magnemite differ from the Quick Starter card?

Sumiyoshi Kizuki’s glossy Vending Magnemite appeared on sheets four and five of Japanese Expansion Sheet 2, released June 17, 1998. The Quick Starter Gift Set Red Deck later reprinted that design without gloss. This collection’s imported Vending listing identifies the sheet release.
