Magneton collecting questions

Can I use this as a Magneton master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 51 card listings and 88 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 58 card listings and 69 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Magneton collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Magneton, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Magneton Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.10 to $415.00 USD, across 41 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.11 to $199.99 USD, across 38 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Magneton card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Magneton cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.10 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.11 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Magneton cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 28 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 34 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 23 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 28 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

What is the difference between Magneton promos 153 and 159?

Both accompany Surging Sparks, but they have different artwork and distributions. Shinya Mizuno illustrated prerelease promo 153, also issued with a gold Staff stamp. Shinji Kanda illustrated Elite Trainer Box promo 159; the Pokémon Center box also supplied a logo-stamped copy.

Why does Skyridge have two pairs of Magneton numbers?

Lightning-type 19/144 and H18/H32 use Hajime Kusajima’s design, corresponding to Japanese 037/088 and 038/088. Metal-type 20/144 and H19/H32 use Kouki Saitou’s different design, corresponding to Japanese 071/088 and 072/088. Each pair separates the regular and holo-numbered prints.

Are Aquapolis Magneton 22/147 and H16/H32 the same artwork?

They share Hikaru Koike’s Metal-type Magneton design. Aquapolis puts its holo print at H16/H32 and its non-holo-numbered print at 22/147. Japanese The Town on No Map uses 074/092 and 073/092 for the corresponding versions.
