Abra collecting questions

Can I use this as a Abra master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 17 card listings and 29 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 24 card listings and 25 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Abra collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Abra, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Abra Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.16 to $145.55 USD, across 15 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.09 to $69.99 USD, across 16 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Abra card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Abra cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.16 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.09 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Abra cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 11 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 12 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 11 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 13 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Where did Sabrina’s Abra Wizards Promo 19 come from?

The English card was supplied in the October 2000 issue of Nintendo Power magazine. Its illustration is by Atsuko Nishida, and it is a separate artwork from Ken Sugimori’s Gym Challenge 93/132. The promo group’s 1999 starting year is not this card’s release year.

The Japanese Nishida artwork was an unnumbered insert with Blaine’s Growlithe in the March 1999 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on 15 February 1999. Those magazine cards were not booster-pack pulls.

Are Abra’s 151 box foil, Master Ball and Shiny cards the same version?

No. English 151 Abra 063/165 has pack normal/reverse-holo finishes and a separate Cosmos Holofoil supplied in the Alakazam ex Collection from 6 October 2023. Japanese 063/165 has regular, Poké Ball and Master Ball prints. Match the language and finish as well as the number.

The box Cosmos foil is documented on Smooth and Pixel foil paper, but the current catalogue groups them in one Holofoil listing and price. This checklist does not claim to distinguish those paper patterns. Shiny Abra is a different Kouki Saitou illustration: English 148/091 in Paldean Fates and Japanese 253/190 in Shiny Treasure ex.

What are the Japanese McDonald’s and Vending Abra cards?

McDonald’s Pokémon-e Minimum Pack Abra is 013/018, illustrated by Toshinao Aoki. It is a Japanese promotional-pack card, not English Expedition 93/165. The e-Reader strips help identify its early Pokémon-e design.

Aya Kusube’s unnumbered Vending Abra first appeared as a glossy card on sheets sixteen and seventeen of Expansion Sheet 1. A later Quick Starter Gift Set Green Deck reprint is non-glossy. These distribution details should not be replaced by a blanket booster-pack description.

Why are there several different Sabrina’s Abra cards?

Sabrina’s Abra 91/132 in Gym Heroes and 93/132 and 94/132 in Gym Challenge are distinct cards, rather than three finishes of a single numbered card. The Japanese Yamabuki City Gym deck also contains two different Abra artworks, identified in this catalogue by LV.12 and LV.18.

The collection includes these named Abra cards alongside ordinary Abra. Kadabra and Crabrawler may match a broad text search for “Abra”, but they are different species and are excluded by the collection’s exact-name matching.
