Psyduck collecting questions

Can I use this as a Psyduck master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 46 card listings and 71 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 47 card listings and 47 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Psyduck collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Psyduck, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Psyduck Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.18 to $775.00 USD, across 39 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.22 to $300.00 USD, across 32 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Psyduck card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Psyduck cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.18 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.22 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Psyduck cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 13 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 17 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 9 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 14 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

What is the Psyduck Munch ‘Scream’ promo, and where did it come from?

Psyduck 286/SM-P is a Japanese promo illustrated by Tomokazu Komiya, inspired by Edvard Munch’s The Scream. It was one of five cards made for the Munch: A Retrospective exhibition collaboration in 2018.

From 2 November 2018, participating Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores in Japan offered a choice of Psyduck, Eevee or Rowlet when customers bought two qualifying booster packs, while supplies lasted. Pokémon Center Online was excluded. The promo was a separate gift; it was not pulled from those packs.

Find it in the Japanese collection even when its price is unavailable. A missing estimate does not mean the card is inexpensive; raw and graded values must be checked separately.

Do Misty’s Psyduck, Sabrina’s Psyduck and Slowpoke & Psyduck-GX belong in a Psyduck collection?

Yes, if you collect cards that name Psyduck. This checklist includes the listed owner’s Pokémon and TAG TEAM cards alongside ordinary Psyduck and Delta Species prints. Cameos in another card’s artwork are outside its scope.

Unified Minds has four Slowpoke & Psyduck-GX card numbers: 35/236, 217/236, 218/236 and 239/236. Their Japanese Miracle Twin counterparts are 011/094, 095/094, 096/094 and 107/094. These are distinct numbered cards, so they can occupy separate places in the guides.

How is W-stamped Misty’s Psyduck different from Gym Heroes 54/132?

The W-stamped promotional print uses the Gym Heroes 54/132 card with an added Wizards stamp. It was included with the August 2000 issue of Top Deck Magazine. The ordinary English Gym Heroes card came in that expansion; the Japanese artwork first appeared in the Hanada City Gym deck.

Check the stamp as well as the language and number. The collection keeps the promo as its own checklist entry, while each price guide gives this same-art family one position using the appropriate highest or lowest priced version.

Which Psyduck 151 card has the full illustration, and what are the Japanese ball patterns?

The full illustration is Psyduck 175/165: an illustration rare in English 151 and an art rare in Japanese Pokémon Card 151. It has a different number and artwork from the regular 054/165 card.

Japanese 054/165 is listed in regular, Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns. Those are versions of the same numbered card. The English 054/165 normal and reverse-holo entries do not become Japanese Master Ball cards just because they share the number.

Where did Psyduck’s manga and Build-A-Bear promo cards come from?

The unnumbered Japanese How I Became a Pokémon Card print was included with volume 2 of that manga, released on 22 September 1999. The related English Wizards Black Star Promo 20 was distributed through the Pokémon League in September 2000. Neither should be confused with the ordinary Fossil artwork.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop Psyduck 28/149 was supplied with Psyduck merchandise, including the online plush bundle. Its branded stamp distinguishes it from the ordinary Sun & Moon 28/149 print. It was not a bonus card inside a Sun & Moon booster pack.
