Shellder collecting questions

Can I use this as a Shellder master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 14 card listings and 28 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 20 card listings and 23 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Shellder collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Shellder, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Shellder Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.04 to $32.49 USD, across 14 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.11 to $43.65 USD, across 12 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Shellder card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Shellder cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.04 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.11 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Shellder cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 14 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 14 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 10 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 11 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

What is the unnumbered Japanese Vending Shellder?

Nobuyuki Habu illustrated this Water-type Shellder for Expansion Sheet 2, the Japanese Vending release issued on June 17, 1998. Its Water Spout attack and illustration distinguish it from the Fossil Shellder. The imported card is unnumbered; 090 in its Pokédex panel is not a collector number.

Why is Delta Species Shellder Fighting-type?

The δ Delta Species card intentionally gives Shellder a different TCG type from its usual Water typing. Hisao Nakamura illustrated the Fighting-type Shellder 63/101 in EX Dragon Frontiers and Japanese 038/068 in Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends. These are matching language versions of the Delta Species design.

Are BREAKpoint Shellder 22/122 and 23/122 the same artwork?

They are separate designs. Mizue illustrated 22/122 with Razor Shell, also Japanese Rage of the Broken Heavens 016/080. Kouki Saitou illustrated 23/122 with Clamp, whose Japanese counterpart is Golduck BREAK + Palkia-EX Combo Deck 004/016. The neighbouring English numbers do not identify duplicate artwork.
