Pidgey collecting questions

Can I use this as a Pidgey master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 23 card listings and 38 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 29 card listings and 32 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Pidgey collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Pidgey, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Pidgey Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.15 to $144.97 USD, across 21 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.09 to $42.83 USD, across 21 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Pidgey card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Pidgey cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.15 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.09 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Pidgey cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 17 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 18 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 18 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 20 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Why is Japanese Pidgey 126/PCG-P different from POP Series 4 Pidgey?

The Japanese card was supplied through a McDonald’s campaign in February 2006, specifically 3–23 February. The illustration was released in English as POP Series 4 12/17.

They have different language, set and number identities. The Japanese promo group’s starting year does not determine this card’s date.

Which Pidgey cards show its Shiny coloring?

The sowsow illustration is English Paldean Fates 196/091 and Japanese Shiny Treasure ex 304/190. It is distinct from Oswaldo KATO’s ordinary 151 Pidgey illustration.

Japanese Shiny Treasure ex also reprints the regular artwork as 137/190. A set with Shiny in its title does not mean every card in that set depicts a Shiny Pokémon.

Are Koga’s two Gym Challenge Pidgey cards duplicates?

No. Koga’s Pidgey appears as two different cards, 49/132 and 80/132, with corresponding Japanese Challenge from the Darkness prints. They remain separate collectible cards and can have separate ranking positions.

Match the printed number and illustration. First Edition and Unlimited are versions of each numbered card, not replacements for the other artwork.
