Chansey collecting questions

Can I use this as a Chansey master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 29 card listings and 50 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 36 card listings and 40 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Chansey collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Chansey, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Chansey Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.13 to $349.00 USD, across 27 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.14 to $228.88 USD, across 24 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Chansey card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Chansey cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.13 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.14 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Chansey cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 17 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 22 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 11 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 17 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

What is the Pokémon Snap photo-contest Chansey?

The Chansey photograph was one of five winning entries in the 64 Mario Stadium Pokémon Snap Best Photo Contest held in spring 1999. The prize card uses that photograph instead of Ken Sugimori’s Base Set illustration and has a camera symbol and contest-prize wording. The source does not establish an exact print run.

How does Vending Chansey differ from its Quick Starter reprint?

Chansey first appeared as a glossy card on sheet twelve of Expansion Sheet 1, released March 23, 1998. The Green Deck of the Quick Starter Gift Set later reprinted the design without gloss. This collection’s Vending listing identifies the sheet release; its Pokédex number does not become a collector number.

Is the Pokémon TCG Classic Chansey a Base Set printing?

The Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic deck reuses Ken Sugimori’s original Base Set Chansey illustration in a later holofoil print. English Classic uses 015/034 and Japanese Classic uses 015/032, separate from Base Set 3/102. The Classic reprint has no regulation mark and is not legal for tournament play.
