Seel collecting questions

Can I use this as a Seel master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 21 card listings and 39 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 23 card listings and 27 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Seel collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Seel, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Seel Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.07 to $163.48 USD, across 20 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.11 to $30.00 USD, across 19 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Seel card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Seel cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.07 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.11 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Seel cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 18 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 18 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 15 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 17 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Are Skyridge Seel 94/144 and 95/144 the same artwork?

They are different illustrations. Hisao Nakamura illustrated 94/144, corresponding to Japanese Mysterious Mountains 022/088. Yukiko Baba illustrated 95/144, corresponding to 023/088. They remain separate cards in this collection.

Where did Japanese Seel 295/S-P come from?

It was distributed through Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 11 from July 15, 2022. The Gym-logo card uses Kagemaru Himeno’s illustration, later printed in English Crown Zenith 029/159. Lost Origin 033/196 instead uses GIDORA’s different artwork.

How does Vending Seel differ from the Quick Starter card?

Naoyo Kimura’s glossy Seel appeared on sheets seven and nine of Japanese Expansion Sheet 2, released June 17, 1998. The Quick Starter Gift Set Red Deck later reprinted the illustration without gloss. This collection’s imported Vending record identifies the sheet release.
