Jynx collecting questions

Can I use this as a Jynx master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 28 card listings and 50 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 36 card listings and 37 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Jynx collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Jynx, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Jynx Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.12 to $65.00 USD, across 27 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.08 to $98.50 USD, across 30 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Jynx card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Jynx cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.12 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.08 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Jynx cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 22 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 25 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 16 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 20 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

What came with the Japanese CoroCoro Jynx promo?

Jynx was supplied with Cubone and Farfetch’d on an insert in the April 1998 CoroCoro Comic issue, released March 15, 1998. A Curse marker was included for Jynx’s attack effects. A later prize draw offered the same design; it does not establish another imported product here.

Is the How I Became a Pokémon Card Jynx the same artwork as Vending Jynx?

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated both, but they use different artwork. The Vending design appeared as a glossy card on sheet eight of Expansion Sheet 2 in 1998, followed by a non-glossy Quick Starter Red Deck print. The manga promo was included with volume 3 of How I Became a Pokémon Card, released January 22, 2000, and has an open-book symbol with a card.

Does Aquapolis Jynx contain e-Reader mini-game data?

Yes. Hisao Nakamura’s Aquapolis 18/147 has e-Reader identifier C-40-# and data for the Dream Eater mini-game. Six other Aquapolis cards are needed for the complete game, including Mr. Mime 95a/147. This feature belongs to its e-Reader print, rather than to the later Jynx cards.
