Hitmonchan collecting questions

Can I use this as a Hitmonchan master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 26 card listings and 42 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 25 card listings and 28 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Hitmonchan collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Hitmonchan, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Hitmonchan Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.10 to $385.67 USD, across 23 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.16 to $72.88 USD, across 18 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Hitmonchan card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Hitmonchan cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.10 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.16 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Hitmonchan cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 11 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 13 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 7 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 10 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

How does Vending Hitmonchan differ from the Quick Starter card?

Nobuyuki Habu’s glossy Hitmonchan appeared on sheet fourteen of Japanese Expansion Sheet 2, released June 17, 1998. The Quick Starter Gift Set Red Deck later reprinted the design without gloss on December 4, 1998. The two distributions share an illustration but have different finishes.

Where did Hitmonchan HGSS24 come from?

HGSS24 was a Cracked Ice holo promo in Call of Legends Three Pack Blisters in February 2011. It uses Kouki Saitou’s Undaunted 51/90 illustration, originally Japanese Tyranitar Constructed Standard Deck 002/019. Call of Legends 57/95 instead has a new illustration by the same artist.

Why does Best of Game Hitmonchan have 60 HP?

Best of Game number 2 reprinted Ken Sugimori’s Base Set Hitmonchan illustration with 60 HP instead of the original 70 HP. The set includes unstamped and gold Winner-stamped versions; the Hitmonchan release is associated with February 2003 BattleZone events. The oversized version is a separate format from the standard card.
