Electrode collecting questions

Can I use this as a Electrode master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 54 card listings and 88 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 60 card listings and 68 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Electrode collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Electrode, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Electrode Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.03 to $199.99 USD, across 50 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.14 to $99.99 USD, across 40 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Electrode card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Electrode cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.03 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.14 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Electrode cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 33 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 37 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 25 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 30 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Why can Jungle Electrode 18/64 show the Base Set artwork?

All first-edition non-holo Jungle 18/64 copies mistakenly used Electrode’s Base Set illustration. Corrected unlimited copies use the Jungle artwork, also found on holo 2/64. A different error affects some early unlimited holo copies, which lack the Jungle set symbol. Those artwork and symbol differences should be identified separately.

Where did Team Plasma Electrode BW76 and Japanese 173/BW-P come from?

English BW76 was a Cosmos holo promo in Plasma Freeze Single Pack Blisters released in May 2013. Japanese 173/BW-P came from a random ten-card promo pack distributed at Gym Challenge events in February 2013. Their matching design came through different promotions.

Is Hisuian Electrode V SWSH294 the same artwork as Lost Origin 172/196?

They are different treatments. The regular 5ban Graphics illustration appeared as standard-sized SWSH294 in the Hisuian Electrode V Box released November 4, 2022, and as Japanese Dark Phantasma 003/071 and VSTAR Universe 005/172. The full-art Lost Origin 172/196 instead matches Japanese Dark Phantasma 078/071. The box also contained an oversized SWSH294.
