Butterfree collecting questions

Can I use this as a Butterfree master set checklist?

Use the free PDF or CSV to track the English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards in this collection, including listed promos, editions and holo variants. Each version has its own checkbox. “Master set” totals depend on which languages and printings you collect; this checklist covers the records currently listed here and does not guarantee every historical printing is included.

  • English: 26 card listings and 47 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
  • Japanese: 29 card listings and 32 checklist entries, including listed editions and finishes.
Does this list include every type of Butterfree collectible card?

This list covers English and Japanese Pokémon TCG cards named Butterfree, including named forms and owner’s Pokémon where available. It does not include TCG Pocket, Topps, Topsun, Carddass, other languages or cameos in another Pokémon’s artwork. Gallery additions and checklist counts follow the catalogue as it updates.

How much are Butterfree Pokémon cards worth?

Match the set, collector number, language, edition and finish before comparing values. Condition affects what a card sells for.

  • English: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.17 to $251.71 USD, across 25 distinct priced cards.
  • Japanese: listed raw-card estimates range from $0.11 to $199.99 USD, across 21 distinct priced cards.

Unpriced cards still appear in the checklist. Check each version’s observation date; older estimates may be out of date.

Are these raw Butterfree card values or PSA 10 prices?

These are estimated prices for raw, ungraded cards. PSA 10 and other graded cards have separate values. A raw estimate does not tell you what a PSA 10 copy is worth; compare recent sales of the exact card and grade.

What are the cheapest Butterfree cards to collect?
  • English: has the lowest available estimate at $0.17 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
  • Japanese: has the lowest available estimate at $0.11 USD. Open the card to check its price date and versions.
Which Butterfree cards can I collect for under US$5 or US$10?
  • English: 14 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 19 have one below US$10.
  • Japanese: 12 distinct cards have a listed version below US$5; 15 have one below US$10.

Each card counts once, using its cheapest priced version. Cards below US$5 also count below US$10. These budgets stay in US dollars when you change the display currency; compare exact versions and check the price dates before buying.

Why does Butterfree 111/SM-P have a Pokémon Center logo?

It was one of six possible purchase-gift promos in the Midsummer’s Pika Pika Alola Festival, running 22 July–3 September 2017 at participating Japanese Pokémon Centers and Stores. Buying five booster packs in one transaction qualified for a promo.

It reuses Shin Nagasawa’s Burning Shadows / Darkness that Consumes Light artwork. Its Bye-Bye Heal attack and illustration refer to the episode Bye Bye Butterfree. The promo was supplied separately from booster packs.

Is Southern Islands Butterfree an English or Japanese card?

Both languages exist, with different release histories: Japanese Southern Islands came out on 17 July 1999, and the English collection on 31 July 2001. English Butterfree is 9/18; the Japanese card has no collector number.

Treat these as separate language checklists. Neither should inherit the other release’s year or numbering.

How is the Butterfree FB League card different from Supreme Victors?

The English 17/147 League print uses Crosshatch Holofoil and was distributed for the Argenta Season in July 2010. Ordinary Supreme Victors normal and reverse-holo prints have their own prices.

The League finish and pack versions share one ranking position; the collection and checklist keep their separate imported listings and versions.
